Another American revolution and guerilla warfare?

For over a year now, like most people, I have watched or read the news about Trump and Stephen Miller's paramilitary ICE soldiers running around the United States snatching people off the streets with little regard for their immigration status, citizenship status or anything else for that matter.

They have been terrorising people around the country like so many other tinpot dictatorships and banana republics since January of last year and Americans are getting fed up. We didn't sign up for this by any means. There have been massive protests and minor violent altercations with these ICE soldiers and more will come, I'm sure, if something isn't done to stop them.

Which is why my friends article today hit a resonating note in my head when I read it. I shared the post and my take on it in my Substack page this morning. I didn't pull any punches and some might even consider my thoughts an incitement to violence. My answer to that is yes I am, and I have been thinking of doing harm to these ICE agents running around abusing people and locking them up in concentration camps.

As many people know, I am a career soldier. I'm old now and I don't meet the physical requirements needed to carry out any kind of guerrilla war on the ICE paramilitaries but I can still think about it and talk about it here in my safe space, as few people actually will read this.

Michael Campi kind of laid out the vague tactics that would be needed to wage such a campaign against these wannabe soldiers hired by ICE and he's right. If these tactics were to be deployed, it would discourage a lot of these thugs who were hired by ICE when no one in any other law enforcement department would, or they were fired for cause.

It would require intense planning for raids such as he alluded to in his article, which I will try to fill in with a few more details here. First, this is not a guerrilla warfare strategy for a lone actor to try. There are attacks that could be carried out by a lone soldier but they would be limited in nature due to the need for extreme mobility and escape and evade tactics to break the action once the mission objective was accomplished. For any sustained campaign, this is not recommended. All it would do is activate the might of every law enforcement department across the country against the lone perpetrator and eventually, they would be caught. There are too many enemy soldiers that could be arrayed against a lone soldier, no matter how skilled and well executed any mission might be.

Which brings us to what an actual guerrilla war would look like. We have multiple historical examples to choose from in recent history. Most of them from the rebels in South America within the last fifty years or so. Some of the more famous ones were from when Ronald Reagan was president of the U.S. back in the 1980's.

In the United States, there are a lot of ex-active duty, highly trained soldiers in nearly every community across the country. Not all of them were war fighters but all have some minimal training from basic and advanced infantry. Then there are the highly skilled war fighters who, although no longer on active duty, still have the advanced skills to set up and carry out a prolonged guerrilla war campaign against a rogue government and its paramilitary soldiers. There are a lot of other ex-soldiers who have a lot of experience with logistics and medical care, plus a lot of other skills that may be needed in such an uprising.

So, what if someone, say one of these forcefully retired generals, decided that enough was enough, and decided to quietly coordinate a tactical force using ex-active duty soldiers to stand up to the ICE paramilitary army and take back the government from the authoritarians?

What if it started small? Such as a coordinated attack to take out a unit of ICE soldiers terrorising a city or small town somewhere? What if they staged a raid at the Dilly Texas detention centre, took out the guards and liberated all of those people in that concentration camp? There's another big camp in El Paso, Texas that could be liberated.

What would these ICE soldiers do if they were attacked and some of them killed or severely wounded by an attacking force of skilled soldiers? As Michael alluded to in his article that I am linking to this blog post, a lot of them would probably desert their posts and run away. As we've seen, a lot of them are cowardly bullies that would run at the first sign of armed resistance to what they're doing on America's streets.

It wouldn't take too many casualties for these cowards to cut and run. They didn't sign up to fight against actual skilled resistance fighters. They signed up for the bonus money and for the thrill of being able to use violence against minimally resisting people who look like immigrants or who look like they may be illegal immigrants by virtue of their skin colour, foreign sounding language accents or lack of American English speaking abilities.

A lot of American citizens have been snatched and detained for days and weeks with claims that their official I.D.'s were fake before they were released with no apologies. Even more immigrants are still in detention centres, as they call them, who entered the country and filled out the appropriate documents to allow them to stay and work until they could go before an immigration court to have their asylum or other immigration applications decided on. And ICE is actively snatching more and more people off the streets, taking them from immigration check in visits, and anywhere else they can get away with. There are a lot of very small children locked up in these concentration camps, that in any other scenario, would constitute child abuse by social services in any country.

The concentration camps are being run by private companies using taxpayer funds in the billions, all the while keeping people locked up in conditions not seen since the Nazi camps in WWII Europe. The only difference between then and now, is that the Americans haven't reached the level of barbarity, yet, as to fire up the gas chambers and firing squads, with crematoriums and mass burial sites. But I would bet a little money that this has been thought of by Stephen Miller in some fashion. He has been vocal about removing the scourge of immigrants from American soil by any means. The cruelty is the point and a mighty deterrent to make people afraid to come to the United States, legal or otherwise. Which they are by the thousands. Tourism is all but gone in a lot of places around the United States anymore, as international visitations are way down now.

So, what will it be Americans? How much longer before you say enough is enough and decide that it's time to take back your country from these wannabe mafia dictators?

Everyone is thinking that the upcoming mid-term by elections will be the answer to their prayers and that the democrats will come out swinging for the big green monster wall of Fenway park in Boston. I have news for you. They won't. The democrats are so polarised right now, they won't be able to agree on what they want to do first, or what they want to do altogether. The pro-Israeli faction full of wealthy Jews, will fight tooth and nail to keep the money and arms flowing to Israel. The faction fighting to open up the Epstein files will fight to get the congress to only focus on that. There will be another faction that will want to bring articles of impeachment against Trump and his cabinet ministers, and so on. Dysfunction as usual. All the while, what's left of the MAGA republicans will fight with everything they have against all of those who took away their power in congress.

So what's the answer? My answer, as an old soldier, is to start over. Vote out or fire nearly everyone in congress, at both the federal and state levels, who has ever taken money from mega donors, both domestic and foreign, and elect those not beholden to these morbidly rich billionaires, corporations and foreign governments. Create laws to prevent any of them from being able to accept money like that in the future. This includes the supreme court justices, appeals court and district court judges. These judicial officials who are found to not be impartial anymore, should be removed and replaced with others with the right integrity to make rulings based on written law, and not interpretations they think are what the law actually means, with no evidence to back up their assertions.

But that's just my thoughts on the whole mess. What I am seeing, is a failing empire that can't get out of its way anymore. The government has become so corrupt, that the only way to correct it, is to start over again, with new leaders and with more guardrails in place to prevent this corruption from starting up again in the future.

The only way to accomplish that, is through a revolution, that starts with a little violence to get peoples attention. That's how the first American revolution started. With a little bit of resistance, such as the Boston Tea Party, and then, the defenders of liberty at Lexington-Concord, who won the day against a complacent English Red Coat regiment. Most of us know what happened after that.

That's what they have in America right now. A complacent ICE paramilitary that needs another Lexington-Concord type of resistance to get everyone's attention. All of the No King's protests in the world will not do much other than annoy the government and have little to no effect on the ICE soldiers. Until they face armed resistance, they will continue to carry on with their brutality. This is what history tells us.

Am I advocating for a violent revolution? Maybe. If that's what it takes to get our country back from those who would steal it from us for their own personal gain. Can you honestly say that you would trust your elected representatives to go to Washington and provide you with honest representation anymore? Or do you believe, as I do, that our congressional representatives and senators become corrupted by their peers as soon as they're issued their new office once they arrive? If they don't follow the party line, they're ostracised and usually  primaried out in the next set of elections.

I don't know about you, but I have lost faith in our democratic system right now in its current state. I watched a MSNow reporter interview a bunch of people down in Florida and southern Georgia this morning over my morning coffee, who said the same thing to the reporter. A lot of people have given up on the representative style of government that the United States used to have. Although I have lost faith in my elected representatives now, I still believe in the American experiment. We just have to take it back from those corrupt politicians who want to take our hard earned money and use it for their own personal gain.

If it takes another American revolution to do that, I'm in. I may be an old man but I can still carry a gun and I'm a very good shot. I also have combat experience so I won't flinch under fire. How far would you be willing to go in order to take back the country from all of these corrupt politicians?
