It's the Economy Stupid. Trump's War.

Now, with that out of the way, let's talk about what's going on so far. I'm not going to go into too much detail here as readers can get all of that using the link above.

In a nutshell, the United States is heading for a collapse within the next few months. There will likely be a bad recession by the end of this year, according to leading economists and others, which will exasperate the tensions already taking place, as noted in the massive protests last weekend.

I'm preparing for this, as I think it's better to be prepared and not have it happen, than to be caught off guard.

I'm also preparing for our long trip out west to see all of the national parks we can, before Trump's logging companies cut down all of the old growth trees, as noted in a news article I talked about this week. Not to mention the deregulation of the EPA regs regarding PFAS chemicals, which will make a lot more people sick everywhere around the country.

Trump is still taking people off the streets and shipping them to the gulags in Louisiana and Texas, while they fight this in the courts. The U.S. Supreme court allowed this, as long as some sort of due process is observed. You have to know, that the U.S. D.O.J. will find a way around this and keep picking people up without notice. They are revoking visas and green cards like crazy right now, giving students little notice to leave the country.

As everyone across the world now knows, the stock markets around the world are in a freefall now, despite Trump's call back of the tariffs yesterday. Everything is back to the base ten percent now, except for China, where a trade war is in full force between the U.S. and China. Which will only hurt China some, but mostly American households very soon. China learned from the last time, and they've prepared themselves as best as they can. I expect they'll come out on top of all of this eventually.

I watched the news this morning and there is a lot of speculation that Trump let his friends know ahead of the tariff walk back, that it was coming. There are cries now that certain people made a killing in buying stocks ahead of the announcement, which is illegal in the U.S. It's called insider trading. Democrats want to investigate. The republicans will block that any way they can.

We live in interesting times, to quote. Every day it's something new that draws us to the news feeds. It's hard to get anything else done as we're worried about how Trump is going to upset the world order and cause even more chaos in everyone's lives.

This all has a direct effect on everyone's lives. Not just the rich people who just lost trillions in the stock market crash, but all of the people who may have 401K retirement funds through their employment, or retirement IRA's that are tanking in value by huge amounts.

Then there is the very real threat of a massive inflation spike with the soon to be increased cost of living as prices go through the roof to cover the new tariff tax. It's this that has so many people around the world taking to the streets to protest Trump. Calling, emailing and writing letters to their congress people, wondering about their futures.

I'm preparing for the worst and hoping I'm just being paranoid. I would rather be prepared though.
