This week, I took on the government, sort of, with my podcast. The United States has been subjected to a whole slew of authoritarian edicts from Donald Trump, and the in your face coercion to remove a late night talk show host last week because he said something unflattering about the late Charlie Kirk was over the top, and the people spoke.

Using boycotts for Disney Corp. media condemnation, even a U.S. senator calling out for what it was, was too much for Disney and they restored the show last Tuesday night. I watched a little clip of Kimmel on YouTube and it looked like they struck a deal. They give him his show back and he doesn't say any more bad things that Trump doesn't like. He didn't have to grovel or apologise on stage but "Don't do it again" was probably agreed to behind closed doors

Then there was the Kirk funeral last Sunday. I watched the news on MSNBC and Brian Taylor Cohen's YouTube channel and they all talked about how Trump, and his special ass kissers all gave sick speeches praising this right-wing grifter who was murdered the week before. Trump especially put on a campaign rally type speech at the funeral, of all places. Then there was the tearful, emmy worthy speech by Kirk's widow vowing to carry on the legacy of her late husband and to forgive her husband's murderer in the Christian manner. Like I said, it's always about the money. In her case, she needs to convince the conservative millionaire donors to keep paying for her lavish lifestyle.

I have no problem trashing people like Charlie Kirk. He was a con artist much like the evangelical televangelists of old. It was his people skills and speaking skills that got him those sponsors so, will his widow be able to step in? I seriously doubt it. For one thing, she's a woman. These right-wing idiots with more money than they know what to do with, will not stand behind a woman as the new CEO of Turning Point USA. That goes against their idea of a "Trad Wife," to use the new phrase. You wait. It won't be long before some back page news story will report that the company collapsed due to a lack of investors.

Let's talk about Donald Trump's latest escapades this week. I already mentioned the blatant call for media censorship. He's also going after federal prosecutors who refused to follow orders. I didn't really talk about this in the podcast but he pushed out a federal prosecutor who refused to prosecute Leticia James, the New York State Attorney General who successfully prosecuted Trump for fraud before the last election.

This eastern Virginia federal prosecutor also said there isn't enough evidence to prosecute James Comey, the former FBI director during Trump's first term. Trump just wants him in jail for anything. He doesn't care. Just like he doesn't care what charges are brought against AG James, or Senator Shiff of California or Ms. Cook from the federal reserve board and all of the rest on his hit list. He just wants them all in jail for standing up to him successfully.

We are all still waiting for the federal oversight committee to publicly tell everyone what's in the Epstein files that Trump and company are breaking the law to bury. This is worse that Nixon's Watergate cover up. Yet, he's so far, getting away with all of this shit.

One of the reasons I decided to write more personal and edgy posts here, is this fear across the United States now regarding Trump's call for censorship across all of the legacy media platforms. This in the wake of all of the protection money ABC and CBS paid Trump to stop his lawsuits. Trump has sued or threatened to sue, several news outlets, the latest, the New York Times, that a judge threw out. Trump has now threatened to go after anyone on the left who dares criticise him, murdering right-wing pod-casters (not that I condone the murder of anyone), and now, declaring Antifa a terrorist organisation. Of course, the rabid governments in Europe jumped all over this and declared that they too, would be going after any Antifa elements in their countries. Much like they're going after AFD in Germany I guess.

As I said in the podcast, these people are idiots of the first tier. There is no organised terrorist group working under a Antifa banner they can really go after. Multiple news reports all say that but these idiots need another boogeyman to go after since the push to go after all of the Pro-Palestine protesters and activists has backfired tremendously now. The mass protests and push back in the media and activist groups, plus musicians, like the Irish rap group Knee Cap and the British singer Velan (sic) all around the world have started to make headway. The EU governments are starting to cave under pressure and are taking baby steps to recognise Palestine as a separate state of its own. In other words, a two state solution, as they're calling it. More and more countries are falling in line and Israel is foaming at the mouth mad right now.

None of which helps the starving Palestinians who are still being massacred on a daily basis by the IDF. By the time real relief actually arrives, the Israelis may well have completed the ethnic cleansing of Gaza. But maybe this will stop the Israelis from doing to the West Bank what they did to Gaza.

Then there is the news coming out (since were talking about Palestine), that the relief flotilla with the celebrities on it, is being attacked with drones by the Israelis. Duhh, they were attacked in Cypress, and Tunisia, why should anyone think the Israelis would stop with that? Because the EU is starting to have a change of heart, the Italians and the Spanish are providing escorts using military ships to try and defend the relief fleet from the Israelis. I sincerely hope they make it and are able to deliver the meagre supplies they have without issue, and open up a supply line to the hapless Palestinians in Gaza.

This another sign that the EU is starting to slide away from Trump's United States. There are more articles coming out the day after my podcast was posted that the EU is looking for ways to back out of the infamous recent one sided trade deal made in Scotland a month or so ago. France and Germany are having major economic issues right now over sovereign debt and failing economies. Germany has been in a recession for the last two years.

The United States is also close, if not already in, a recession. Something I mentioned time and time again over the last few months. I'm not an economist but I listen closely to those people who are and that's what they've been predicting. That by the end of this year, the U.S. would be in a major recession or at the latest, the second quarter of 2026. I'm betting on sooner than later.

The trouble with writing about the news in this current environment, is that it changes every day. With Trump running rampant across the U.S. constitution, there is something new in the news cycles every day now. I don't plan to write something here every day as I have other things I'm doing.

I'm now attending a basic digital photography class twice a week, which incurs some bit of photographic homework every weekend. Which is time consuming but fun. That in itself deserves it's own separate blog article that I may write if I have time this weekend. Mostly because I have a snowflake for a teacher and she deserves an article all on her own.

In other news, I'm watching more carefully, the prices jumping up in the stores here. My wife isn't paying much attention but I've noticed the prices go up on her ethnic foods she shops for. I'm sure it's because of the tariffs.

Well, it's official. Trump just signed an executive order (edict), to transfer the U.S. version of Tik Tok over to a bunch of right-wing U.S. investors, like Larry Ellison of Oracle fame. There goes the neighbourhood. I need to post this and tell my friend that I'm deleting my Tik Tok app tonight.

We DM each other on Signal, which is the most secure app available for the public that we know of. Which is why this website and blog are hosted on web servers outside of the United States. Which is why I use my own private email server for sensitive communications with close friends and family. You can't be too careful in Trump's American nowadays. Trump is watching, or at least his own private Homeland Security is anyway.
