As always, Here is a link to the podcast page so visitors can watch the video or listen to an audio version of this week's podcast episode.
In this week's show, I start off with a conversation about how it's not illegal, by federal law in the U.S., for anyone, including undocumented immigrants to cross state lines. But in some states, that is where the law stops. Florida and a couple of other states make it illegal to bring undocumented immigrants into their states as they call it human trafficking. It doesn't matter if the immigrants have no criminal records. It's getting do bad in the U.S. that everyone, including native born citizens now need to carry with them proof of citizenship or risk ending up in a detention camp with little to no access to lawyers or family.
Next, I talk about the great American migration taking place. Especially now with certain states becoming more militant in their support for Trump and his power grab and their extreme conservative views. People have been leaving states and regions over political ideology, women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, climate change and a myriad of other reasons. With Trump back in office, this migration has increased in vast numbers.
I have two articles about the latest spat between India and Pakistan that has people worried. Especially since both countries have nuclear weapons and one low-level Pakistani minister is already advocating their use against India. India, on the other hand, is trying to shut off the main river flow to Pakistan in order to bring them to their knees. I think it's going to get bad there soon.
In one of the environmental stories I have, it's more about a corporation and their greed than the environment itself, although this Brazilian company is notorious for destroying the environment in the Amazon forest. This time, they're bribing Trump in order to sell shares of their company on the American stock exchange. Blatantly corrupt but few care anymore.
In the other story, Trump has fast tracked deep sea mining, which will destroy marine ecosystems and kill marine life but he doesn't care as he will get a kickback from the mining companies for allowing them to go to work.
I have a couple of military stories but not what you might think. One is about how the U.S. and other countries, and a lot of multinational corporations are using U.S.-British mercenaries to handle security around the world. This is apparently the new fad for the rich and for countries who don't want to use their military to guard their embassies around the world.
In my other story from RT News Russia, I found this story about how the world should not underestimate the military prowess of the Chinese military. They are far more technologically advanced and have the largest navy and army in the world. Their ability to take out their enemies assets should not be discounted. The Americans should learn more about their so called enemies before they get to crazy but you know they won't until it's too late.
My last story is about how the U.S. state of California has now become the world's fourth largest economy. I joke that if Trump were to really piss off the Californians, they might make a deal with Oregon, Washington state and Hawaii to break away and form their own country. They have the economic power to to that now. Imagine Americans needing a visitors visa to travel to see the Pacific Ocean someday.
I wrap things up with a reading of chapter 33 of The Priest, by Michael Campi. This week, the priest talks about his bad dreams.
There are no reviews yet.
