Here is the link to The Village Oak Tree podcast page in case anyone wants to go to my Substack page to listen or read part 1 of this story.

I wrote this story when I was full of being a new writer at Medium.com a couple of years ago. I think it's a good story but few there cared for it. I learned a few months later that the Medium.com algorithms don't cater to fictional stories very much so I quit posting them and got busy writing my first book.
I still have quite a few stories that I wrote and didn't post them because I knew that online readers don't seem to care too much for folklore anymore.
I may post more depending on the interest I generate or not this week. We'll see what shakes up. I had one person like the story so far I don't know.

Let me tell you all a little about the story here. It's about an Irishman in a middle sized town called Knocknarigan in County Wicklow, Ireland. A real place believe it or not. The mountain and the park are real places as well.
He likes to hike up the mountain looking for treasure and in my story, he finds some one night, along with something else. The story is a little scary but nothing so bad that little children couldn't listen to it as long as a parent is reading the story to them. Irish children cut their teeth on stories about banshees and pookas so I don't imagine other children would find it too scary either.
Sean Murphy meets a Púka on the mountain one night and finds himself in a little trouble. I don't want to give the story away so I invite readers to go read part 1 and see how things turn out in the coming weeks ahead. I also made an audio file but as I'm not an accomplished story reader, it may sound a little off. I'll put the audio file at the bottom of this blog post and let you decide for yourself.

If anyone does read this someday, let me know what you think. I would like to hear from people even if it's just to say hello.
I'll talk again next week. Sláinte
