Join me again for another visit with world news as I talk about Donald Trump a little and the latest United States hubris in their thinking that they can take on the Russian military in Ukraine. Even though I recorded this earlier in the week, I am sure there has been some more breaking news since then. (There actually has).

I can’t keep up and I am not even going to try.

To wrap things up, I read you another chapter of Michael Campi’s The Priest to help people envision what the collapse of the United States will look like someday. I hope my thoughts stop people and give them a little pause in their lives as we watch these stupid politicians we elected edge us ever closer to World War Three.

Here is a link to the podcast page where you can watch or listen to both podcasts as you wish.

It’s late on Wednesday evening right now and I have been at it all day. It took me all day to create the Stories and Poetry podcast because I kept getting interrupted by IT project managers texting me and emails demanding my attention.

So, instead of copying and pasting the synopsis of my news commentary, I invite readers, such as the few there are, to watch the video to see if what I have to say makes any sense, or will someone take offence, like one person did today over a reply I made here in Medium, and try to jerk my chain.

Needless to say, I did not respond. I didn’t block them as they have a right to think as they do. It’s not my place to try and point out some historical facts out to them. I believe that people should have the right to believe what they wish. I may not agree and that is okay.

This is the social media world we live in now. I suppose there is one good thing that can be said about social media. People can get into heated arguments online and not come to physical blows over disagreements as much as in the old days. We can just not respond and the argument goes away, hopefully.

With regard to this week’s stories and poetry, I am still going to offer this feature but it will be more sporadic due to my expanded work schedule. I am now doing IT equipment installs around my region into the week before the December holidays. It is truly time for me to really retire from running the roads fixing things for people. I will be a year shy of my seventieth birthday soon and it is time, I think, to hang up the old tool kit.

I do wish to thank all of the contributors to these podcasts. They put a lot of effort into their stories and poetry and I put a lot of work into bringing them to people around the world in order for people to hear an audio version of their stories and poems. I know from their feedback that it means a lot to them.

It may not get much attention on Medium or YouTube but they do get a lot attention on my Substack page and the other mobile podcast apps I distribute to.

I will try to offer something for everyone next week if I can clear my schedule. I may end up creating something over the weekend and scheduling the post for next Wednesday, like I did this week. I am growing to like that little convenience.

Whether it will be more stories and poems or world affairs I don’t know yet. The whole world is coming undone right now so I may post something about the continuing madness.

As I say good-bye this week, I wish to leave you with this Irish blessing as you go about your day. “May we find some peace and joy in our world so we can all live in harmony with all of the people in it.” Slán go fóill.
