I just spent the last week updating this website to make it better, I hope anyway. Late last year, I got the foolish idea that my digital photos might sell. Boy, was I ever wrong. So, I decided to change things up.
I started with dumping out all of those digital photographs on the online store, then expanding the photography galleries to encompass all of the photos I wanted to share with the world. That was quite a lot of work. I have hundreds of photos I've taken from around the world so I had to browse through all of them and pick out the ones I thought told the story of my travels and try to add the better ones into photo albums for people to see.
What I came up with, was a drop down menu option to view my older photographs from the last century (that sounds so old), and another drop down menu item for my newer photos from this century. All of these photos were taken by me in my travels around the world and within the United States. To which I am by no means finished yet. There will be more photos added as we travel around North America in the coming years. Maybe after Trump is gone and the customs and border patrol has returned to normal again someday, we might even be able to venture out of the United States and visit other countries like Canada, Ireland and maybe even China. It's too dangerous for us to even consider that now.
Each drop down menu option will take visitors to a page with a carousel of photos with links attached to a photo album I've set up for each decade and some to regions of the world I've been to. The carousel rotates automatically so viewers can watch and pick whichever one they wish to look at. In the corresponding page, I've set up a page flipping photo album that shows the photos in that category. Each photo may be clicked on to stop them in order to take a closer look. There are so many photos in these albums that I was unable to set up the handicapped accessibility yet, due to some technical issues, which I'm trying to get worked out with my tech support people in Italy right now.
I will be creating a new commercial for my podcast to reflect the new changes so I can show people how easy it is to come look at what I've built here. I also updated some cosmetic background issues I wasn't happy with, so I hope visitors like what I've done with the place.
To summarise, I've cleaned up the online store so that I only have books for sale there now, I added a massive photo gallery system and upgraded a bunch of web page backgrounds. I'll also be posting a clipped version of this blog post in my social media accounts a little later today to try and draw some eyes to this website. We'll see how I do.
Thanks for dropping in and I'll post again later this week with more content regarding what's going on in the world after the podcast on Wednesday. Take care for now.
