Hawaii

I’ve got a few treasured snapshots from my brief adventure in Hawaii back in the spring of 1993! While I was waiting to join my new unit, I seized the moment to explore some amazing sights and snag a few souvenirs. Join me as I share some vibrant photos from the bustling International Market in Honolulu and capture the sun-soaked vibes of Waikiki’s stunning beaches!

2002

Operation Enduring Freedom

I was able to capture some secret photos of our mission headquarters in Konduz, Afghanistan, back in 2002—before the Taliban reclaimed it all. These snapshots showcase our home and the vibrant street outside, offering a glimpse into what life was like during that time. This was my last deployment before I retired from the military.

2013

First Vacation in 10 years

In 2013, when I was still single and living solo, a good friend nudged me to finally take a vacation. I asked my then-girlfriend—now my wonderful wife—if she’d join me on this adventure. We hit the road, leaving Northern Maine behind, first making our way to Connecticut, Washington D.C. Then Tennessee to catch up with one of my sons. Next, we headed to sunny Florida to visit my daughter, who was expecting her first little one. Our journey didn’t stop there; we made a magical detour to Disney World before winding our way back north through Jamestown, Virginia and the vibrant energy of New York City. Join us as we explore the incredible places we visited along this unforgettable vacation!

2014

Acadia National Park, Maine

We decided to escape for a long weekend and embarked on an unforgettable day trip to Acadia National Park, just a short four-hour drive from my home in Caribou, Maine. The views there are simply breathtaking and will stay with you long after you leave. It’s an absolute must-visit for anyone daring enough to explore that far north!

2105-2016

Hill Country, Texas

In the brief but vibrant years we spent in Central Texas, we seized every opportunity to explore its stunning sights. There's an abundance of adventures waiting for you, from the enchanting River Walk in San Antonio to the thrilling water parks and Sea World just a stone's throw away. And let’s not forget the picturesque parks scattered throughout Central Texas—many of the photos you see here were captured in those breathtaking locales. Join us on a journey to discover the true beauty of the Hill Country, far beyond the pages of tourist brochures!

2022

Niagara Falls, New York

For this vacation, our first since moving to Virginia, we traveled up to Niagara, New York, on the border of Ontario, Canada, to see the great falls. Along the way, we visited Maryland and the Delaware River Gap National Park in eastern Pennsylvania. In this album, I have wonderful photos from much of our trip. Another epic vacation that we won't soon forget.

2023

Another Florida Vacation

A decade later, we were back at it, gearing up for another unforgettable vacation in sunny Florida! As a retired Army veteran, I’m lucky to snag some fantastic discounts on tickets to amazing places like Disney World. This time, we also planned to explore more of the state and catch up with one of my other sons while we were there. In this album, you’ll find a treasure trove of Disney snapshots, along with highlights from Ponce de Leon Park in St. Augustine and the beautiful Manatee Park in Silver Springs. We chose to go in March, thanks to my daughter’s suggestion, and while we faced a couple of chilly, blustery days, the trip was a delightful adventure overall!

2024

Assateague Beach State Park

This year, we decided not to go on any lengthy vacations, so we took a couple of long weekends to places on the eastern sea board. The best trip was to Assateague Beach State Park, which is famous for its beautiful beaches and the wild horses that run loose everywhere. Later that fall, we made a trip to New York City to visit one of our daughters. I didn't take any memorable pictures of Brooklyn, New York but I did take plenty at the beach with the horses.

2025

Epic Western Vacation

This year, we finally reached our savings goal and embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure out west to explore the breathtaking beauty of America’s most iconic national parks! From the stunning landscapes of Yellowstone and Yosemite to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon, we soaked it all in. We also ventured through Utah’s crown jewels: Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the majestic Arches in Moab. I captured hundreds of memories along the way, and I’m excited to share some of my favorite moments with you. Join me as we relive our month-long journey across this incredible country!
