I often wonder these days, where I can find more time to pursue the things I want to do. I did last week, with a three day trip to northern Virginia. My wife and I needed a break from the daily grind, and we couldn't afford a real vacation this year. Come in and read about our trip, plus a few other things on my mind today.

In my weekly blog, I'm writing to eat a little humble pie. It turns out, I was wrong about the United States becoming insolvent. I was schooled by an Australian economist this week, and I must retract some things I've said in the past. Come inside and let me explain what I learned, and what that actually means to the average consumer.

In trying to get my normal schedule back online, I'm taking the time to write another short blog, which I will advertise on Medium.com, and my Substack Notes, and my Facebook page. Today, it's to announce all the new web page updates. Come in, have a sit with a cuppa something warm and find out what I've done with the place.

I've decided it's time to slow down a little bit. I'm starting to realise that I'm not 20 or 30 something anymore, and when I work all night on a repair project now, I feel it a lot more over the next couple of days. It sucks to get old sometimes. Come join me for a bit of introspection on getting older, the cost to our bodies, impending food shortages and more.

In keeping with my sort of loose schedule, I'm writing this short blog post to air some general thoughts on the future. Mostly, my future as a writer. Come inside and read my thoughts on where I've come from, and what I'm contemplating for my future writing endeavors.
